Thin cut boneless pork chops are simmered away in savory beefy gravy and ranch dressing mix (you can use our homemade ranch dressing mix or store bought) for about 6 to 8 hours until the chops are tender.
I like to serve these yummy pork chops with mashed potatoes (the gravy tastes amazing over the potatoes) and then some sort of steamed veggies like broccoli or Brussels sprouts.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you don’t have time to thaw the pork chops before putting them into the slow cooker you can use frozen pork chops just fine in this recipe. You may need to cook the recipe a little longer. We suggest that you check the pork chops at the 6 hour mark and if the pork chops are not fully cooked yet, recover the slow cooker and continue cooking until the pork chops are fully cooked.
If you do not have access to jarred brown gravy you can instead use a packet of brown gravy mix. We suggest that you follow the directions on the packet of brown gravy mix to make the gravy and then add it to the slow cooker along with the pork chops and ranch dressing mix.
We have a wonderful recipe for Homemade Ranch Dressing mix that not only tastes fantastic but also has less sodium that will work wonderfully in this recipe. If you don’t wish to make your own ranch dressing mix you could also substitute the packet of ranch dressing mix with a packet of French onion soup mix. This will create a different flavor profile but will still be very tasty.

Can the pork chops be frozen? Or do we need to thaw them first?
This recipe was cooked using thawed pork chops. I have not tested with frozen but it should work. But the cooking time will probably be a little longer.
Should the cooker be set on high or low for this recipe? Thank you.
Listed in line 3 of the instructions for this recipe indicates that this recipe should be cooked on LOW for 6 to 8 hours. Hope that helps Sally!
Wanted to make this today but ordered groceries and they were out of dry ranch dressing. That stinks. Now what?
I am so sorry Deborah that your grocery store was out of ranch dressing mix. I am not really sure what else to use for this recipe besides making your own ranch dressing mix.
I don’t have gravy in a jar but I do have brown gravy packets. Would that still work?
Hi Laci! If you make the gravy according to the package directions first it should work!
Delicious! Thank you!! Will be a regular in this home.❤️
So glad you enjoyed, Cheryl!
If I use only 4 pork chops, I know how to reduce the other ingredients, but what adjustment (if any) would I make to the cooking time? Thanks for your help!
This recipe has not been tested using only 4 pork chops but I would probably cut the cooking time by 45 minutes and then check the pork chops and cook longer only if needed.
I’m thinking of putting carrots in with the pork chops to cook as a veggie to go with it. Would that work?
You could definitely try. Let us know how it turns out!
I only have chicken gravy, can I sub that instead of beef?
Should work fine!
Would dry Au Jus gravy mix work in this recipe
Hi Sandi, while this recipe has not been tested using dry au jus gravy mix I think it will work. The gravy/sauce may be thinner using this but the flavor will still be tasty I think and if you wanted to thickened up the sauce after it cooks with a little cornstarch slurry that would probably work.
So wonderful. I nearly cried. They’re so easy and so tender!
So glad you enjoyed these pork chops Angelica!
Can pork chops go in frozen??
While we have not tested this recipe using frozen pork chops it should be fine. I would add 1 additional hour of cooking if using frozen meat. Thanks for your question Sonya.
How long for cook on high?
Hi Lisa, this recipe is best cooked on LOW.
This recipe is quick, easy and delicious! It literally took any time to prep. I had to use pork gravy instead of brown gravy. I will definitely make this again
