- Add the steel cut oats and water to the insert of your Crock-Pot Express Multi-Cooker.
- Close and lock the lid, making sure the valve is set to sealing.
- Set on MANUAL, HIGH PRESSURE, for 4 minutes. Press START.
- Allow the pressure cooker to come to pressure (takes about 15 to 20 minutes) and allow the oats to cook for the 4 minutes.
- When the time is up, let the pressure cooker naturally release for 10 minutes.
- Carefully turn the valve to venting to release any remaining pressure. Carefully remove the lid and set aside.
- Stir the oatmeal before serving, topping with your preferred sweetener and toppings of choice and enjoy!
*Non-Stick Note - Because the Crock-Pot Express version that we have comes with a non-stick insert there is no need to do anything before cooking your oats. However if you are using a different version of the Crock-Pot Express or another brand of electric pressure cooker (InstaPot, Cuisinart, MooSoo, Presto, etc.) that does not have a non-stick insert you may wish to spray the insert with non-stick cooking spray or lightly coat with butter)
