If you are looking for an easy yet elegant dip to server your guests or just to eat yourself, look no further! This easy to make spinach dip tastes so good. Serve with pita chips, slices of crusty bread, crackers, breadsticks, veggies or whatever your heart desires. (I have been known to just eat it with a spoon….)
A warm, cheesy and delicious recipe for spinach dip made in the crock-pot. Serve with your favorite dippers – pita chips, crackers, bread, etc.
Ingredients
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and toss to combine. Mixture is going to be dry because of all the fresh spinach, almost like a salad.
- Put the mixed spinach mixture into a 3-4 quart crock-pot (you may need to push it down to get it all to fit, that’s OK)
- Cover and cook on low for 1 1/2 hours.
- Open the lid and give everything a stir.
- Cover again and cook and additional 1 to 2 hours till everything is creamy and the spinach has cooked down.
Notes
Because this recipe uses fresh spinach it it will seem like you are stuffing a lot of ingredients into a small crock-pot. Have no fear, the spinach cooks down a lot and combines with all the cheese for a gooey and cheese dip!

Hi Heidi, can you sub frozen spinach for the fresh? or does that make a huge difference in the way the dip comes out?
Hi Ivon, thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment! I personally have not tried this recipe with frozen spinach but to be honest I think it would be just fine. I would thaw and squeeze out as much liquid as I can from the frozen spinach before adding it to the crockpot. The fresh spinach cooks down pretty fast into what looks the same as frozen and thawed spinach so I don’t really think there would be an issue. You might just want to watch the cooking time a little maybe reducing it by 1/2 hour or so.
If you try it come on back and let us know how it turned out!
I was wondering WHAT HEAT setting to turn the crock pot to? thanks
Hi Moe, the recipe states to cook it on low for 1 1/2 hours (step 3 in the instructions)
Hope that helps and thanks for dropping by. I hope you try this yummy recipe, it is one of my favorites for sure!

Have you ever added artichokes to it? I like spinach and artichoke dip.
I have not tried it yet but totally think you could add some canned (drained) artichoke hearts to it and it would be DELISH!
