Eggs, cheese, ham, tomatoes, onion and seasonings combine for a great breakfast with this recipe for Crock-Pot Ham and Cheese Quiche! Great for brunch too!

Slow Cooker Ham and Cheese Quiche
Recently I had a friend give me a couple dozen eggs from her small backyard flock of chickens and I was inspired based on a handful of ingredients I had in my refrigerator (diced ham, cheddar cheese and a tomato from the garden) to whip up this lovely ham and cheese quiche for breakfast.
The ingredients are quite simple and this recipe takes no time to prepare and throw in the slow cooker. It does however take about 4 to 5 hours to cook.
So, if you want to eat this early in the morning for breakfast the best option is to cook this quiche the night before (I typically throw it in the slow cooker while I am making dinner). Then, after it is cooked go ahead and put it in the refrigerator. In the morning you can just reheat it.
Actually, this makes a great meal prep recipe so that you can have breakfasts ready to go and re-heat which makes getting the family out the door to work or school just a little bit easier.
The other option for this recipe is to make it for brunch. Our family goes to church on Sunday mornings and I often toss this in the slow cooker in the morning and plan it out so that it is done by the time we are home from church. I set out some coffee and orange juice, maybe some fresh fruit and the family digs in.
Of course there is nothing in the rule book that says you have to eat quiche for breakfast or brunch. I think it makes a great lunch or light dinner paired with a fresh garden salad.
Whatever time you eat it I think you will find this recipe delicious!

So very good. Everyone in my house loved it. So easy 🙂
I tried this with six eggs and a pint of whole milk or half and half. With whole milk, I cooked it for 3 hour on low; with half and half, four hours. It came out perfect, like a savory flan.
what is a liner for a crockpot
Crock-pot liner. You can purchase them in the stores normally near the foil and reusable bags. It is an easy way to cook and then clean up. PUll the liner out, remove the food, and then little to no cleanup.
Thank you ! I had no idea !! Valerie
I am now back living in Kansas, and we don’t have a Whole Foods near us (maybe about 85 minutes away?). We live pretty rural.
what size crock pot did you use for this? I have a 4 qt and a 7 qt. I’m guessing the smaller one?
Thanks!
Hi Teresa, thanks for your great question. I have edited the recipe to include the slow cooker size which is a 4 to 6 quart. Your 7 quart slow cooker may work but you would want to keep your eye on it to prevent burning since the quiche will be thinner in a larger slow cooker.
How long to reheat in crockpot?
This recipe is best to reheat in the oven or microwave. The slow cooker is not always the best for reheating leftovers.
Sorry about the cancer!!! Do you have a Whole Foods near by?
