Make your very own basic granola with this super easy recipe right in your slow cooker. Perfect for your morning breakfast with milk or use the crunchy granola to top yogurt or even ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 7 Cups Old Fashioned Oats
  • â…” Cup Honey
  • ¼ Cup Unsalted Butter (Melted)

Instructions

  • Add oats, honey and melted butter to a 6 quart or larger slow cooker and stir to coat all of the oats in the honey and butter.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes while it cooks.
  • Turn slow cooker OFF (or unplug) and allow the granola to cool completely.
  • Store granola in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

    If you want to add in other ingredients do you add them before or after cooking the granola in the crockppt?

    I followed the recipe as written but my granola is not crispy or crunchy, just wondering if should spread it out on a cookie sheet and ‘toast ‘ it in the oven?

    Is the nutrition information for the entire batch or for a single serving (if so, how much is a serving size)

      Hi Kristin, the nutritional information listed on all the recipes on our website are per serving. And a serving size is the entire batch divided by the number of servings listed in the recipe box. So for this recipe for Crock-Pot Basic Granola a serving size is 12th of the finished batch of granola.
