Yum! I’m just wondering if quick oats will work for this or if I have to use the old fashioned kind?
Thanks! Just found your site and am having a hey-day! 🙂
Either will work. But quick oats is probably the best. It ends up being toasted in the end.
How many servings does the recipe make? How many calories per serving?
Do you mean oats instead of oatmeal in the ingredient list?
Yes LJ this recipe should read ‘oats” and not “oatmeal” I have edited the recipe to fix that. Thanks for points that out to us!
I made this as written in the recipe, but it unfortunately did not work out for me. The granola did not clump together, and never got crispy. I cooked for about an hour longer than recipe called for (about 3 hrs total), and made sure to cool completely on cookie sheet. Flavor is good, but I prefer my granola to be clumpy. This was just oatmeal. Maybe needs more liquid and/or fat? I may try the recipe ingredients, and bake in oven.
