Crock-Pot Warm Pastrami Sandwiches
We are “Crockin’ Around The Clock” today, bringing you breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert all in one day and all cooked in, yep you guessed it, our favorite handy dandy cooking appliance the crock-pot!
Tara already brought you her breakfast recipe for Crock-Pot Apple Pie for Breakfast.
I choose to do a recipe for lunch because I am always up for a challenge and had not done a lunch recipe before. Oh sure, you can make any entree recipe for lunch really but I wanted something that was more “lunch” like and for me that means a nice sandwich. And I gotta tell you, I love me a good pastrami sandwich…rye bread, dill pickle, some classic potato chips on the side and a big glass of iced tea it really hits the spot for me!
This is a S.I.M.P.L.E recipe to do up, just a few ingredients and you are on your way to a yummy sandwich. We had a ball game to go to the day I made this for my team…also known as my family and this was great to toss in the crockpot and let it cook while we were gone and come back to a tasty and easy meal for lunch (or dinner). You could toss this in the pot before church, ball, hockey, or while you are running errands. And you can easily double/triple the recipe to feed a crowd too.
Give this recipe a try and let me know what you think!
Stay tuned for a yummy dinner recipe from Sarah here in a bit!
