I love the combination of chocolate and cherries so decided to see what I could come up with for a new recipe for the Crock-pot that uses of of my favorite taste combos here is what I came up with. I have never cooked brownies in the crock-pot but thought I would give it a try. This recipe uses only three ingredients and so it could not be simpler. The texture of the brownies is slightly different than those you would bake in the oven as the moist cooking environment in the crock-pot makes for more of a steamed brownie rather than a baked brownie but it was still really good! For this recipe you will need a 6-7 quart oval crock-pot, anything smaller and the brownies will be too thick and you will have more of a steamed cake (which thinking about it might be good too!)
Try these out and let me know what you think!

Instructions
- Spray the crock part of your crock-pot with cooking spray make for baking (the kind with flour in it)
- In a large bowl mix brownie mix, cherry pie filling and egg with a spoon by hand until everything is all mixed together and smooth.
- Pour brownie batter into a 6-7 quart oval crock-pot and cover with lid.
- Cook on low for 3-4 hours until cooked through.
- Turn off crock-pot and remove crock from heating element and let cool for 10-15 minutes.
- Turn entire pot of brownies out onto a oval serving platter and dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Oh I can’t wait to try this! So easy.
very interesting. I certainly would have never thought to make brownies in the slow cooker but I’m always looking for things to put in the crock-pot, so I may just give this a try next time I just have to have a dessert.
Thanks for sharing!
Sounds YUMMY! Chocolate is always a plus. I’m constantly looking for good crock pot recipes.
