We decided to have an appetizer meal, where everything consisted of appetizers. Of course on the top of the list had to be the Little Smokies! My kids love these. I allowed my daughter to help out with it, as it’s such an easy recipe. Note to self, explain better what the difference of 3/4ths CUP and 3/4ths teaspoon to daughter. Luckily they still tasted good.
1 Package of Little Smokies (28 oz)
3/4 Cup Ketchup
2/3 Cup Brown Sugar
1 1/2 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
2/3 Cup Barbecue Sauce
- Use a smaller crock-pot if you have one.
- Pour all ingredients into the crock-pot (except toothpicks) and stir well, making sure all Little Smokies are covered in sauce.
- Cook on low for 4 hours.
- Can be cooked on high for 2 hours, but watch carefully so the Little Smokies don’t get burned on the sides.
- You want the Little Smokies are warmed thoroughly and we used fun toothpicks to eat them off our plates.
