With just 5 ingredients this super simple slow cooker recipe for Crock-Pot Mint Tea is refreshing on a hot summer day and caffeine free too. Peach herbal tea is combined with the flavors of spearmint and lemon in this lovely cool tea that is brewed in your slow cooker.

Crock-Pot Mint Tea

When we moved into our home a few years ago here in Kansas the previous owner had chosen to plant as much mint as possible in the flower gardens. He either really loved fresh mint or he did not realize just how invasive mint was when left to it’s own devices.

We really hadn’t found much use for all that fresh mint besides smelling and admiring the ability of the humble mint plant to survive and thrive anything.

We often have random neighbors come right up to the door and ask if they can have a bit of it and we always share because we know it will grow back no matter what.

My family has been getting into making different herbal teas and of course, I needed to find a way to incorporate the slow cooker into our tea making. Thus…this recipe for Crock-Pot Mint Tea was born.

As the tea was brewing away in the slow cooker it smells absolutely delicious and tasted just as good too.

Very easy to make and my kids had fun going out and picking all the fresh mint from the garden we needed for this recipe.

  2. Add 10 bags of herbal peach tea (or any other tea you wish) and steep for 20 minutes.
  3. Add the sweetener of your choosing and add slices of lemon when you serve.

Hi Sarah…My family has drunk minted iced sweet tea forever…my favorite. We just crush some fresh mint leaves in the bottom of a pitcher, add the warm sweet tea, cool and serve over ice with lemon. It is the most refreshing drink on a hot summer day. 🙂

Mmm love sweet tea, and mint is a great addition! And it’s great whenever you can use a crockpot!
