This recipe for Crock-Pot Strawberry Rhubarb Moonshine is a refreshing adult beverage features fresh rhubarb & strawberries & packs quite the punch!

Slow Cooker Strawberry Rhubarb Moonshine
This type of drink is best when stored for 30 days in a cool dry place. The alcohol takes on more of the fruit taste. BUT, you can also enjoy it immediately. I originally did not strain out the rhubarb pieces but if I do this again, I definitely will.

Mmm strawberry moonshine! I HAVE to try this soon!
Are you actually sealing the jars like canning or just putting the lids on and storing?
Great question Jill! You are just putting the lids on for storing. This is not a canning recipe as the alcohol will evaporate while going through the canning process. However, this has a long shelf life due to the high alcohol content.
Would you strain out the rhubarb pieces before putting them in the jars and letting sit for 30 days or after?
You can strain the rhubarb out before adding it to jars.
Can you leave out the rhubarb completely? I’d prefer to just have make it as a strawberry moonshine.
You sure can Josh! Be sure to come on back and let us know how your Strawberry Moonshine comes out!
Can u add water to cut the alcohol amount?
Hi Joan, I am not sure if you can add water to cut the alcohol amount. The alcohol is acting as a preservative in this recipe to give it a longer shelf life. You could always make the recipe as is and cut the moonshine with water (or soda) before drinking/serving.
I made this recipe and I strained it and bottled it and put jar’s in refrigerator and I looked at it today and it’s thick, could you please let me know how I can fix this and why it happened please 🥺 thank you
How thick is it Hollie?
