Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Tacos
I love buffalo chicken wings so when I was trying to come up with a new recipe for tacos for dinner I thought that putting the flavors of buffalo chicken inside of tacos would be amazing.
And I was right…these tacos are delicious.
There is only three ingredients in this recipe, just chicken, a bottle of buffalo hot wing sauce and some butter. So easy.
For the tacos however you are going to need some tortillas (flour or corn, your choice) and then whatever your favorite taco toppings are…lettuce, diced tomatoes or salsa, guacamole, sour cream, cheese…go for it!
If you want a more authentic buffalo wing experience…use a little blue cheese or ranch dressing instead of sour cream!
You can use frozen chicken straight from the freezer in this recipe, just add about 1 extra hour to the cooking time.
I used a 4 quart slow cooker to cook this yummy chicken recipe, but this will work in a larger slow cooker too. You can even double the recipe and put it in a 6 quart or larger slow cooker and add an extra 1 to 2 hours cooking time. Then shred your chicken when it’s cooked. If your not going to use all that chicken, pop the shredded cooked chicken into a freezer bag or two and throw it in the freezer. That way, on days where you are rushed to make something for dinner you have the chicken already to go…just thaw and warm up and throw it in tacos or burritos or in burrito bowls or over salad or even nachos.

Crock-Pot Buffalo Chicken Tacos Recipe
- Add chicken, buffalo sauce and butter to a 4 quart or larger slow cooker.
- Stir well to coat your chicken with the buffalo sauce.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours.
- Once chicken is cooked, remove chicken and shred the meat with two forks.
- Mix shredded chicken with leftover sauce in the slow cooker coating all pieces.
- Serve for tacos.
