With only 3 ingredients this recipe for Crock-Pot Easy Italian Beef could not be any easier to make. Just dump everything in the slow cooker and let it cook away all day. Shred the beef and serve it in buns or rolls for delicious Italian beef sandwiches that are juicy and full of flavor!

Slow Cooker Easy Italian Beef

While shopping at my local grocery store I spotted some Louie’s Italian Beef Seasoning packets. I had never tried them before but I got to talking to a couple of other ladies right there in the spice aisle. They told me that a packet of this seasoning mix, a couple pounds of beef pot roast and a little water tossed in the slow cooker would yield an awesome pot roast sandwiches.

Seeing as how I am all about trying new recipes in my slow cooker (well duh!) I tossed a packet into my shopping cart, grabbed a pot roast from the butcher then got some buns from the bakery and decided that Italian beef sandwiches were going to be on the menu!

I was surprised to see that when the Italian beef was done cooking, the juice was nice and thick and had a great flavor. It was almost gravy like which I just thought was so cool and my family really thought this was some of the best beef sandwiches that I have ever made.

The pot roast came out so tender and it was super easy to shred for sandwiches. I served this Italian beef with a nice crisp garden salad and some baked potatoes for a lovely dinner.

If your store does not carry Louie’s Seasoning it is easily purchased online at Amazon.

I’ve never heard of Louie Seasoning Italian Beef where I live. Any more common name brand that’s just as good?
This recipe sounds easy & good.

Louie Seasoning is the only one locally that they sell. If you could find a package of Italian Beef mix near you, I am sure you could substitute it.

Any suggestions for a gluten free version of this? Is there a gluten free Italian beef mix somewhere?

You can try a gluten free Italian dressing mix. I have not personally tried this one by Simply Organic but that is our favorite spice company and I trust their products. If the cooking liquid is not thick enough you can add a little cornstarch and water slurry near the end of the cooking to thicken up the liquid in the slow cooker.
