Carefully remove ham from the slow cooker and place it on a platter. Tent the ham loosely with foil and allow the ham to rest 10 to 15 minutes before slicing the ham.
Remove cloves before eating and enjoy! (See **Sauce/Gravy Note below if you would like to make a sauce or gravy to serve with your ham)
Notes
*Ham Note - Before starting this recipe, make sure your ham will fit inside your slow cooker. If it doesn't fit, cut off any extra meat from around the end of the bone area to make it fit in your slow cooker.**Sauce/Gravy Note - If you would like to thicken the juices left in the slow cooker for a gravy or sauce (excellent over slices of ham and/or mashed potatoes!) simply pour off the liquid in the slow cooker into a large glass liquid measuring cup, skim off any excess fat that rises to the top. Pour the liquid into a saucepan set over medium heat on the stove-top, whisk in 1/2 teaspoon of cornstarch per cup of liquid and cook while whisking until the liquid comes to a simmer and thickens (about 5 to 7 minutes).
