Ingredients
  • 1Lb. Italian Sausage(Ground; sweet or spicy depending on your preference)
  • 1Lb. Bacon(Chopped)
  • 1Quart Water
  • 29Oz. Chicken Broth(Canned or homemade)
  • 4Whole Potatoes(Medium Yukon Gold variety; diced into bite sized piece, peeled or un-peeled depending on your preference)
  • 1Whole Onion(Medium size; diced)
  • 2Cloves Garlic(Minced)
  • 2Cup Kale(Roughly chopped; May also use Swiss Chard or Spinach)
  • 1Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • Salt & Pepper(To taste)
Instructions
  1. In a skillet brown sausage, breaking into small pieces as you cook it, rinse and drain and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet brown bacon until crisp, drain and set aside.
  3. Place water, chicken broth, potatoes, onion, garlic, bacon, and sausage into a 6 quart or larger crock-pot.
  4. Cover and cook 4-6 on low hours until potatoes are cooked fork tender.
  5. Add greens and whipping cream and stir to combine.
  6. Cover crock-pot and cook on low an additional 30 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper and enjoy!
