Recipe Notes

If you don’t like wine or don’t use alcohol in your recipes, I have read blogs that made a similar recipe on the stove-top without alcohol. This is pretty sweet, so if you’d like I think your safe cutting back on the sugar to 1/2 cup. Sour cream is not a big fan of the crock-pot so adding it in to the food processor or blender at the end helps get rid of any “clumps”. There will be some texture to this soup because of the strawberry seeds. You can also add more pieces of strawberry at the end if you like it a little chunky. I liked this both warm and chilled. Chilled it almost takes like a smoothie but richer.
