Crock-Pot Sausage and Rice Recipe
This frugal recipe is easy on the budge while still tasting amazing. One of my kids favorite dinners for sure!

  • 2Pounds Ground Pork SausageWe Used Mild, But Feel Free To Use Hot Sausage To Kick Up The Heat
  • 16Ounces Mixed Frozen VegetablesCarrots, Peas, Green Beans and Corn
  • 6Cups Minute Rice
  • Salt And PepperTo Taste
  1. Place the raw ground sausage in the bottom of a 5 quart or larger slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours, stirring and crumbling up the sausage meat every 1 hour or so.
  3. Carefully spoon off any excess fat from the sausage.
  4. Add the bag of frozen vegetables, recover and continue to cook for an additional 30 minutes.
  5. While the vegetables are cooking in the slow cooker prepare the minute rice according to the instructions on the package.
  6. Add the cooked rice to the sausage and vegetable mixture in the slow cooker and carefully stir to combine.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
