Crock-Pot Easy Green Beans and Bacon Recipe
With only 5 ingredients this fantastic green bean recipe combines the flavors of bacon, green beans, onion, maple syrup and a touch of brown sugar. A popular side dish perfect for any holiday meal (or any day really!)

Ingredients
Instructions
  1. In a sauce pan, heat bacon and onion just until bacon is cooked (do not brown the bacon).
  2. Drain green beans and empty into a 5 quart or larger slow cooker.
  3. Add bacon, onion and drippings on top of green beans.
  4. Add in brown sugar and maple syrup and stir well.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours or on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours.
Recipe Notes

Do not be afraid to substitute fresh green beans or even frozen green beans for the canned green beans in this recipe.
