Crock-Pot Cowboy Grub Recipe
Rustle up some hungry cowboys (or just some party guests) for an amazing cheesy dip packed with bacon, sausage, green onions, tomatoes, and green chilies. Perfect with your favorite tortilla chips!

  1. In a medium skillet on the stove-top, cook the bacon until crispy. Drain on a plate lined with several paper towels and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, cook and crumble the sausage until no pink remains. Drain and add to a 4 to 5 quart slow cooker.
  3. In the same skillet, cook and crumble the sausage until no pink remains. Drain and add to a 4 to 5 quart slow cooker.
  4. Add Velveeta, milk, diced tomatoes, cumin, onion powder and garlic powder to the slow cooker. Mix to combine.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 2 to 3 hours, stirring every hour, until the cheese is melted.
  6. Just before serving add half of the cooked bacon and half of the sliced green onions to the dip and stir.
  7. Garnish the top of the dip with the remaining bacon and green onions just before serving.
Recipe Notes

If you cannot find the Mexican variety of Velveeta cheese you can use the regular plain version and add some diced canned green chilies or jalapenos.
