Crock-Pot Cayenne Chicken Recipe
Sweet and heat meets tender shredded chicken in this super easy fuss free recipe for cayenne chicken. Serve the shredded chicken on buns or rolls with a little ranch dressing to cut the heat. Super tasty!

Instructions
  1. Place chicken in the bottom of a 6 quart or larger slow cooker.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients and pour over chicken in slow cooker.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours or until chicken is cooked through.
  4. With tongs, remove cooked chicken from the slow cooker and place on a plate. Shred the chicken meat with two forks and return to the slow cooker stirring the meat into the liquid.
  5. Serve shredded chicken on buns or rolls with ranch dressing and dill pickle slices (if desired).
Recipe Notes

*Spicy Note: Feel free to adjust the spiciness level of the chicken by adding more or less cayenne pepper to your preferences.

Freezer Meal Instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients into a 1 gallon size zippered freezer bag OR FoodSaver bag.
  2. Place bag on flat surface and seal bag closed while pressing out as much excess air as possible OR use your FoodSaver sealing system to vacuum seal the bag closed.
  3. Label bag with date prepared, name of recipe, ingredients and cooking instructions.
  4. Lay bag flat in freezer and allow to freeze for several hours. At that point you can stand the bags upright in your freezer if desired.

To Cook Freezer Meal:

  • Remove freezer meal bag from freezer and place either in refrigerator overnight OR in a clean kitchen sink filled with cool water for several hours just until the freezer meal is partially thawed enough to dump the contents of the bag into the slow cooker.
  • Cook according to the recipe directions adding 1 additional hour cooking time (in this case 5 to 7 hours on LOW from the partially thawed state ).
