This amazing recipe is the quintessential fall dessert. Brimming with slow cooked apples and spice and little caramel pockets and topped with a crisp oatmeal based topping. To top it off, drizzle a little caramel sauce on top before eating. A scoop of vanilla ice cream cuts the sweetness!

Recipe Notes

This dessert recipe is sweet. To cut down the sugar content you can use a sugar substitute in place of the brown sugar and use both sugar free caramels and caramel sauce if you can find them. Or omit the caramel and you have just a really nice apple crisp recipe! Nutrition information based on 8 servings.
