Crock-Pot Beef & Rice Recipe

  1. Spray a 4 quart or larger slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray if desired to help with clean up.
  2. Place the cooked and crumbled ground beef, diced onion and celery, cream of chicken (or cream of celery soup), soy sauce and oregano in the slow cooker and stir to combine.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3 hours, eyeball to make sure it doesn’t overcook on the sides, this recipe can be stirred once or twice if necessary since the hamburger is already cooked.
  4. When your meal is nearly cooked, prepare the rice or whatever you were planning on serving it with, so that they will be ready around the same time.
  5. Serve the beef mixture over the rice.
Recipe Notes

Crock-Pot Freezer Meal Instructions:

  • Precook the hamburger, drain very well.
  • I use a 2 quart pitcher to place the gallon zipper bag in to hold it in place while adding ingredients.
  • Place all ingredients, except the rice in a gallon freezer bag (I suggest name brand and not sliders).
  • Mix a bit with your hands on the outside and get it laying flat.
  • Squeeze as much air as you can out and close the zipper.
  • Lay flat in your freezer.
  • Thaw before cooking.
  • Pour all in the crock-pot and cook as directed.
  • Cook rice separately (remember rice generally doesn’t go in the freezer or the crock-pot).
