Crock-Pot Acorn Squash Recipe
This simple recipe for cooking acorn squash in your slow cooker is basic, easy and delicious. Serve the cooked acorn squash as a fall or winter side dish.

  1. Place the acorn squash into a 4 to 6 quart slow cooker.
  2. Add water.
  3. Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 hour.
  4. Turn heat down to LOW and continue cooking for 6 to 8 hours.
  5. Remove the squash from slow cooker and cut in half lengthwise.
  6. Scoop out the seeds and discard.
  7. Cut each half of squash in half so that you have 4 slices.
  8. Top with butter and nutmeg, cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice if desired before serving.
Recipe Notes

You may also wrap the acorn squash in foil before cooking.
