Crock-Pot Simple Corned Beef
I purchased the meat for Crock-Pot Simple Corned Beef months ago at one of our local stores during a great sale and threw it in the freezer.
I love of our deep freezer!
I was reminded back in February that I needed to pull them out and use them soon, so I pulled them out and first did this recipe for Crock-Pot Easy Corned Beef and Cabbage and then had one left to pull for this current recipe.
For the first time I decided I wanted to do a corned beef recipe that didn’t involve the seasoning packet that is included when you buy a corned beef at the grocery store. I really wanted to try something a bit different.
Although corned beef is definitely on the salty side, if you’re wanting a bit less salt, skipping the season packet would help. We also rinsed off the corned beef, which I haven’t done previously, and that helps get a bit of the brine off as well.
This was very easy to put together and thankfully I had all the ingredients on hand. You can’t really mess this up. If your meat package is larger than the recipe just double the ingredients and the great thing about making corned beef in the crock is it makes it so tender. It’s perfect for corned beef sandwiches afterwards!
