Warm up to a mug of this amazing Crock-Pot RumChata White Hot Chocolate with this adult beverage drink. Warm hot cocoa made with white chocolate and then spiked with RumChata…how can you go wrong!

Crock-Pot RumChata White Hot Chocolate

Oh my heavens…I have a new found love for RumChata, an amazingly delicious cream liquor that my neighbor friend recently introduced me to. My first sip of this liquor was straight up over ice and I just fell in love with the great mild taste with a slight cinnamon flavor.

I had never heard of RumChata before but after tasting it I went to research a little bit more about what it is. Basically it is a spiced rum that is then spiked with cream. I am sure there is more involved in it that that simple explanation but that is how I understand it to be made. It is 13.75% proof and as far as liqueurs go it isn’t crazy strong. Straight up or over ice it tastes like horchata. YUM!

You should be able to buy it at just about any quality liquor store. If they sell Kahlua or Bailey’s Irish Cream they should sell RumChata!

After my first taste I just KNEW this liquor was going to make an amazing hot slow cooker beverage (adults only please on this one!). RumChata liquor combined with hot chocolate made from white chocolate chips is AMAZING!

And the recipe really could not be simpler either. This is the perfect recipe for throwing together before the girlfriends show up for a girls night in, or serve it at your next camping trip after the kids go to bed and the campfire is dying down. Amazing!

And, if you are not a big fan of white chocolate feel free to use milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips…the cinnamon flavor from the RumChata makes for a almost Mexican hot chocolate experience.

Did I mention it was AMAZING?

Hi Michelle, while this recipe has not been tested using almond milk I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

If you give it a try come on back and let us know how it turns out for you!

Sure you can use whatever kind of chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate) you wish. White chocolate is what gives this particular recipes the “White Hot Chocolate” in the name.

I think the leftovers should keep just fine for 3 to 5 days in the refrigerator.

We made this on Christmas eve. Although it was tasty, it was extremely sweet. A six ounce cup maximum.

It is indeed pretty sweet Angie. You can of course cut back on the sugar if the sweetness is too much.
