Crock-Pot Simple Chicken Cacciatore Recipe
Transport yourself to Italy with this SIMPLE recipe for chicken cacciatore made right in your slow cooker. This tasty recipe is sure to be a huge hit with everyone in the family. Easy enough for a weeknight dinner but fancy enough for serving to company!
Ingredients
- 4 pounds Whole Chicken (cut up into peices)
- 2 whole Onions (sliced)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- ¼ cup White Wine
- 16 ounces Canned Whole Tomatoes
- 12 ounces Canned Tomato Sauce
- 1 whole Bay Leaf
- 1 ½ teaspoons Dried Basil
- 1 ½ teaspoons Dried Oregano
- Salt And Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Place onions at bottom of a 6 quart or larger slow cooker.
- Put chicken on top of onions and the rest of ingredients over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on LOW for about 6 hours or HIGH for 4 hours.
- Remove bay leaf before serving.
- Serve over rice or pasta.
