Wow! I cannot believe that we are celebrating our one year “blogiversary” this month! This has been a crazy year for the Crock-Pot Ladies and we are learning as we go. We are having so much fun with this blog and we all really hope that you are enjoying the recipes we are posting. This has been a year of experiments with our crock-pots trying to come up with new and tasty dishes (some that worked some that didn’t)! It has also been a year of making new friends and we are very blessed to have met some wonderful folks along the way. Make sure to join us in a few short days on September 8th as we celebrate our one year “blogiversary” with a special giveaway just for you! And later in the month we’ll be bringing you a new and improved Crock-Pot Ladies site so stay tuned for the big reveal!
Now on to this month’s giveaway and to pick a winner for August. There were only 7 reader submitted recipes this past month so we hope that you guys will send us some more! The kids are back in school and you’re looking for ways to put a hot meal on the table without pulling your hair out so share those ideas with us. Our winner for August’s giveaway is Kimberly Cosby from Little Mommy, Big Appetite for her recipe for Crock-Pot Beef Ragu with Pappardelle.
And now our September Crock-Pot giveaway is underway! And it is easy to enter for a chance to win a brand new Crock-Pot SCV401TR 4-Quart Oval Manual Slow Cooker (in either Red or Black). All you have to do to enter is to send us your favorite original crock-pot recipe and if we post it (and we will unless for some reason we get slammed with SO many submissions) you are entered. You can submit as many Crock-Pot recipes as you want! Just remember if you’re inspired by a recipe you find online somewhere else, give credit where credit is due.
If you are not picked this month as a winner your submissions count for future monthly giveaways. So the more recipes you submit the better your chances of winning are! If you don’t need a new crock-pot you can always give it away as a gift (those holidays come up fast). But I think everyone needs more than one crock-pot!
