Ingredients
Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl combine the beaten eggs, milk, oatmeal, spices, onion, garlic and chicken broth until well combined.
  2. Add the hamburger meat and mix well with your hands or a very sturdy wooden spoon. If the mixture seems too loose add 1 to 2 tablespoons more of oatmeal to help absorb the liquid.
  3. If desired place a slow cooker liner in the bottom of a 5 quart or larger slow cooker OR spray the crock insert with non-stick cooking spray. It is easiest to remove the meatloaf from the slow cooker whole and intact if you use a liner.
  4. Scoop the meatloaf mixture into the bottom of the crock and shape to form a loaf, keeping the loaf away from the sides of the slow cooker.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours, check the internal temperature of the meatloaf with an instant read thermometer making sure it has reached 160° Fahrenheit.
  6. Top meatloaf with chili sauce (or ketchup), serve and enjoy!
Recipe Notes

If you have an older crock-pot expect this may take longer then 5-6 hours. Older crock-pots don’t cook as hot, thus don’t cook as fast. My crocks are all 5 years or less so they cook much faster. I would start with 6 hours, check with your thermometer to make sure the meatloaf has reached the correct temperature.

I do not suggest you try and cook this on high.

This makes a soft meatloaf…very moist, not dry.
