Crock-Pot Easy Italian Sausage & Pepper Sandwiches Recipe
With just 4 ingredients this recipe could not be easier! Serve these flavorful sausages with the peppers and onions on top of your favorite submarine roll and top with cheese if you want.

  1. Place Italian sausages in the bottom of a 5 quart or larger slow cooker.
  2. Add sliced bell peppers and onion on top of sausages.
  3. Pour jarred marinara sauce over everything.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.
  5. Serve cooked sausages, peppers and onions on submarine rolls (gluten-free if you are on a GF diet).
Recipe Notes

Freezer Meal Note: Place sausages into a gallon sized zip top freezer bag (we recommend using a name brand freezer bag over the generic and we prefer using freezer bags that you need to press to seal versus the ones with the sliding zipper as the later tend to leak in the freezer). Add the sliced bell peppers and onions and pour the marinara sauce over it all and smush the bag with your hand to mix. Lay the freezer bag on a flat surface and seal the bag while pressing out as much excess air out of the bag as possible. Label the bag with the recipe name, date prepared, and cooking instructions.

To Cook Freezer Meal: Place freezer bag in the refrigerator the night before and it will partially thaw enough to easily remove the contents of the bag. OR place the bag in a bowl or clean sink of cool water for about 1 hour just enough to thaw the contents of the bag so it can easily be removed from the bag. Cook for 7 to 9 hours on LOW from the partially thawed state. If your freezer meal is fully thawed cook according to the recipe directions.
