We are long-haul truckers. I start this soup about 2:00 in the afternoon and it is ready for us whenever we get to our stopping point between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m.
Crock-Pot Split Pea Soup #2
2 (32 Oz.) Boxes Chicken Broth
1 (16 Oz.) Bag Split Peas
1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
- Combine chicken broth and split peas in crock pot and cook on high for two hours.
- Add remaining ingredients and cook on low until peas are desired texture, usually additional three to five hours.
