Crock-Pot Strawberry Rhubarb Moonshine

This type of drink is best when stored for 30 days in a cool dry place.   The alcohol takes on more of the fruit taste.   BUT, you can also enjoy it immediately.   I originally did not strain out the rhubarb pieces but if I do this again, I definately will.

Crock-Pot Strawberry Rhubarb Moonshine

Crock-Pot Strawberry Rhubarb Moonshine

Ingredients

1 16oz Frozen Sliced Strawberries and Juice (or fresh strawberries)
2 Cups Sugar
2 Cups Rhubarb, chopped
3 Cups Everclear Grain Alcohol or Vodka

Instructions

  1. Combine strawberries and rhubarb in a blender and puree.
  2. Add strawberry/rhubarb mixture to crock-pot.
  3. Mix in 2 cups of sugar.
  4. Heat on HIGH for 1 hour with lid slightly ajar.
  5. COOL mixture completely.
  6. Add in 3 Cups of Everclear Grain Alochol or Vodka.
  7. Pour liquid into quart jars and add lids and rings.
  8. Mixture makes 2 quarts of Strawberry Rhubarb Moonshine.
  9. You can strain prior to adding mixture to jars to remove some of the rhubarb solids.
