I used 1/4 teaspoon Peppermint extract.   That was just enough for us.   Add in the mint, and then taste the chocolate to see if it is a good combination, then add in the Chex mix.

Crock-Pot St. Patty's Mint Muddy Buddies

Ingredients

White Chocolate Mint
12oz White Almond Bark
3/4 Cup Powder Sugar
5 Cups Chex Cereal
Mint Extract about 1/4 to 1/8 teaspoon depending on how strong you want it
Dark Chocolate MInt
12oz Dark Chocolate Almond Bark
3/4 Cup Powder Sugar
5 Cups Chex Cereal
Mint Extract about 1/4 to 1/8 teaspoon depending on how strong you want it

Instructions

  1. In crock-pot melt white almond bark on HIGH (about 30-45 minutes)
  2. Add in Mint extract and stir.
  3. Add in Chex Cereal and stir well coating the cereal with the melted almond bark.
  4. Add Powder Sugar to a Gallon Size Ziplock bag.
  5. Add in coated chex mix to the ziplock.
  6. Shake well allowing the powder sugar to coat each piece of cereal.
  7. Cool on a piece of waxed paper.
  8. Repeat for dark chocolate.
  9. In a large bowl, combine the two colors of muddy buddies.
  10. Add in green m&m’s.
