Crock-Pot Pink Lemonade Cake

So we have been on a cake in the crock kick.  Saw this at Walmart and it looked so yummy just had to try it!  Funny the Cashier said the same thing!  I made it with my daughter and the batter smelled so good.  Luckily the cake tasted just as good.  We made it Sunday night.  It is now Tuesday and it is gone!  They devoured it.

Crock-Pot Pink Lemonade Pudding Cake

Crock-Pot Pink Lemonade Pudding Cake


1 Pillsbury Pink Lemonade Premium Cake Mix
1 box Jello Instant Pudding, (4 serving) Lemon Flavor
4 eggs
1 Cup of Milk
1/4th Cup of Oil
Red Food Coloring
Pink Lemonade Frosting, Pillsbury
Paper Towels
Baker's Joy


  1. I used my 4 quart round crock pot.
  2. Combine everything (except frosting, food coloring, Bakers Joy and paper towels) in bowl.
  3. Use your hand mixer on medium speed and mix for 4 minutes.
  4. This really needs to be mixed with a hand mixer and not mixed by hand.
  5. Because you have added the pudding mix, the cake mix turns a yellow/orange color instead of pink, I added some red food coloring to get the cake batter back to pink. It took about 5 or so drops.
  6. After the 4 minutes is up, spray the crock-pot with the Baker's Joy or your alternative (I prefer Baker's Joy with my crocks because it not only has oil, but has flour in it as well.
  7. Cook on high for at least one hour and 20 minutes.
  8. Put a paper towel on top of the crock and then place the lid on top.
  9. Wedge a fork in between the crock and the lid.
  10. After the hour and 20 minutes is up, eye ball it and continue to check every 10-15 minutes is up until it is done cooking.
  11. If the paper towel gets very saturated feel free to swap out for another, when you are checking on the cake to see if it is done.
  12. You put the paper towel there, for it to catch all the condensation.
  13. When it is done cooking it will have pulled away from the side, and the middle will not be gooey.
  14. I use a knife and go around the sides of the crock and go up and down with the knife to make sure none of it is sticking.
  15. I then use a plate and place the plate at the top of the crock, I use oven mitts to hold onto the crock, I then flip the crock over so that the cake will fall out.
  16. Let cool, and then frost.
  17. Enjoy!
