Crock-Pot Boiled Peanuts

Ingredients

2 Pounds Green, Raw Peanuts
1/3 Cup Salt
Water -enough to cover the peanuts

Instructions

  1. Add ingredients to the crock-pot.
  2. Cook on low for 5 hours then turn off and let sit over night.
  3. Drain and eat!

    do you eat the shells or just the peanut as usual? boiled peanuts are a concept i have not heard of until i moved to the south.

      technically, I eat the shells..but I do not after I boil them. They are a little mushy after being in the water. shell them then eat them!

    I live in Louisiana, so I use the dry crawfish boil. YUMMY!! Just substitute for the salt.
